When people hear that I work for Pure Water by CPI, they expect my blogs to be all about our 5 filtered systems, clean drinking water and all the benefits of going bottle-less. And while those topics are incredibly important (and I have been covering them and will continue to do so), there’s a bigger story here. And it’s more personal. It’s how we take care of ourselves and each other at work. As someone who’s passionate about health and wellness, I believe that true workplace wellbeing isn’t just about hydration. It’s about energy, mindset, habits and creating an environment where people can thrive.
So, today I am sharing 7 healthy habits you can implement for a better workday, every day.
1. Prioritize Movement
Sitting for extended periods can lead to stiffness, fatigue, and even long-term health issues. Set a timer to stand up and stretch every hour. Take short walks during breaks or try a standing desk to improve circulation and reduce muscle tension.
2. Stay Hydrated
Keep a water bottle (preferably stainless steel or glass) at your desk and sip regularly. Hydration supports focus, digestion, and overall energy levels. If you tend to forget, use an app or set reminders to drink water throughout the day. And drink the cleanest, purest water you can. Like the filtered water from one of our Pure Water by CPI machines! 😉
3. Mind Your Posture
Good posture prevents neck and back pain. Sit with your feet flat, back straight, and screen at eye level. Ergonomic chairs and proper desk setups can make an enormous difference in your comfort.
4. Eat Smart
Avoid the trap of fast food and vending machine snacks. Pack healthy meals and avoid snacking. Balanced meals support sustained energy and avoid the crash that follows sugary or heavy foods. And my personal option, protein at every meal!
5. Take Mental Breaks
Burnout is real. Step away from your screen, go outside, or simply close your eyes and breathe deeply for a few minutes. A refreshed mind is more creative, focused, and resilient.
6. Keep Clean
Regularly sanitize your desk, keyboard, and phone. A clean workspace helps prevent the spread of germs and creates a more pleasant environment.
7. Foster Connection
Don’t underestimate the power of positive interactions. Building friendly relationships with coworkers boosts morale and creates a supportive atmosphere.
Creating healthy habits at work doesn’t require big changes, just consistent effort. A few mindful adjustments can lead to better physical health, mental clarity, and a happier work life. Start small and build up from there. And of course, if you are interested in the cleanest, purest tasting water available, call me! One-week trials, costs analysis and installation are always free!
